Consultation tracker

A consultation has been issued on the scope of the VAT exemption for medical services. The consultation follows a European Court of Justice (ECJ) judgment (in case C-307/01) which affects the way in which the UK treats VAT on some health services. The purpose of the consultation is therefore to examine the implications that implementing this ECJ judgement will have on the health sector and its clients, and to minimise the compliance burdens for those affected.

CTRG was not on the original list of consultees, but has been identified as a further body which may have an interest in this area.
